The Kunstlogo web site was developed for Gemeente Hilversum using the Hotspotter application. It allows the site visitor to see the location of each piece of artwork within the Gemeente and then click on the location to see details of the artwork and a picture. The visitor may also search for artwork by the name of the artwork or artist.

The site was developed using Hotspotter and is hosted on a Linux server using the Apache web server with pages developed in PHP and stores the data on a PostgreSQL database. One of the advantages of this hosting arrangement is the fact that every component is open source making it a very cost effective solution.
